Time Flies

I'm not sure what happened to the last 26 days since my last post. It has been a whirlwind of a month! I have been busy with everything Christmas (who hasn't), laundry, trying to keep up on housework, 3 kids, packing and getting ready for a two week trip for a family of 5 across 3 states. It has been crazy to say the least!!

We are currently in the first state of our vacation. We are in NM at my parents where we celebrated an early Christmas with them last night. As was tradititon when I was a child, we started out by reading about the birth of Jesus in Luke 2. It is one of my fondest memories of Christmas as a child.

Eary tomorrow morning (6 am...ICK) we will be heading out to Southern CA to spend Christmas with Jeff's family and see some of my extended family as well. The girls think that it is pretty neat that they get to have two Christmases. I'm not really looking forward to the 12 hourish drive, but once there, it will be well worth it. While in CA we will be taking the girls to Sea World as well as some other fun San Diego things and then going to Disney Land with his parents and sister and her family.

I will have lots and lots of pics and "narration" to go along with them when we get home so stay tuned for that. :)

I hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Year's with your loved ones, but at this time of Christmas, remember the true meaning of Christmas....the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Until next time...

A Reason to Celebrate

14 YEARS AGO TODAY, I was waking up on a windy California day as a "single" woman. Before the day was over, I would be joined "for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do us part" to the man I loved and still love.

Happy 14th Anniversary!

It's hard to believe that 14 years have already gone by. Some of them are a blur. Some of them were rough, but we are better because of them. We have been blessed with three beautiful daughters. I love you as much today as I did then. I look forward to as many more years as God gives us to share together. I love you ALWAYS and FOREVER!!

BLAST FROM THE PAST!!!

In going through things to organize and get rid of, I ran across a bunch of old pictures of Jeff and I that I stuck in an envelope to go through at a later date. Today, I was looking for something and I came across that envelope so I took the time to really look through them. Here are the ones that were my favorite awww moments and seriously?!?! pics.

Tuckered Out!!

Last night, since the girls were being good and playing really well together, I let them stay up pretty late. More for selfish reasons....I was hoping it would give me a Saturday to sleep in past 7:00. It worked too!! They all slept till about 8:30 so I finally crawled out of bed around 8:45. Kendal and Bransyn just couldn't hack the late night though. They ended up laying on Kendal's bed and using her two big stuffed bears as pillows, covered up with her blanket and fell asleep around 11 pm. Payton, on the other hand hung out with me in the play room. I was on the computer and she was playing with toys, but about 11:30, she started BEGGING me to get off the computer so she could sit with me. I complied and in less than two minutes she was sound asleep! Sleeping in was a great way to start my Saturday!! :)

awwww....sweet sisters
Bransyn was upset with me because I told her that she had to eat more of her dinner before she could leave the table. She laid down on the chair to pout and this is how I found her a few minutes later. Well...that's definately one way for her to get out of eating more of her dinner!

And the winner is......

The Cat in the Hat and
THING 1 and THING 2

In today's mail was the picture that was taken of the girls in their costumes at the Fun Fest (Trunker Treat). Along with the picture was a note saying that they had won the "Most Original Costume" award. Their prize...a $25 gift card to Chick-fil-A. How great is that?!?!

Pumpkin Patch, Trunker Treat, Jack-o-Lanterns

Last Saturday was a crazy, tiring, but totally fun family day. Part 1 of our day started at the Pumpkin Patch with the mob of other people there. Not quite as nice as going during the week when there are hardly any people there, but since Daddy is working and Kendal is at school, we had to join all the other families that have to go on the weekend.

We started out by going on the hayride...

the girls got to be silly...

not sure why, but I love this thing...

the girls had fun climbing and the sliding down the hay mountains
not so much fun when I was having to dig hay out of not only their jeans, but panties as well...how does that happen?!?!

QUEEN(S) OF THE MOUNTAIN!!

After picking out our pumpkins, a little one for each of the girls and a big one, we went home to eat and get ready for Part 2 of our day. Going to Trunker Treat at the church where I work. Getting the girls ready was a fun process! Kendal was less than thrilled about her costume, but Payton and Bransyn loved having their hair spray painted.

INTRODUCING......

The Cat in the Hat and THING 1 and THING 2
Aren't they just stinkin' adorable?!
ready to get loaded up with candy
Kendal is still being grouchy about her costume. She said that everyone was looking at her and she didn't like that. What a drama queen!!

Payton and Bransyn didn't care...they were all smiles!

still getting candy

we found a big THING 1

Our second hay ride of the day. This one though, Daddy was driving the tractor so the girls thought that was pretty neat and had to tell everyone that it was their Daddy that was driving us. Thankfully, no one fell off. hehe :)

They were disappointed that by the time we made our way over to the pony rides, they weren't letting anyone else get in line. They went to the Petting Zoo instead and that brightened up their spirits.

If we would've let them, they would have walked out with a bunny.

Part 2 of our day was over, so now it was time to go home, get bathed and start on Part 3 of our day. Carving our pumpkins. Which was a total Daddy job!

The girls with their very own pumpkins. Even their pumpkins are biggest to littlest.

By the time their Daddy finished with their pumpkins, it was late and he was tired of doing it so our big pumpkin had to wait until Sunday. It was worth it!
The girls with all of the Jack-o-Lanterns. Daddy did an awesome job, each one had a different look. I was very impressed...what a great Daddy!! Fun family memories!!
Until next time...

Pumpkin Patch with friends

While our bigs kids were still in school, Allyson and I took our little kids to the Pumpkin Patch. We enjoyed a nice lunch with the bees buzzing around us (a little sarcasm) before wandering around to check everything out. As we are leaving the picnic area, I feel something hit my head. I am assuming an acorn or something of that nature, but reflexivly (is that a word?), I put my hand on my head and felt something wet. It was not an acorn, oh no......

A BIRD HAD POOPED ON MY HEAD!!!!

Allyson and I laughed so hard , although I was TOTALLY grossed out at the same time, it took us awhile to get ourselves composed. Allyson, even longer. During our hysterics, I finally noticed that our kids were not around and said, "I think we lost our kids". Thankfully, it wasn't very busy so it was easy to locate them and they were close by playing in the maze. Probably not wanting anyone to know that they belong to the two crazy ladies! You know you have a good friend when they will use a baby wipe to clean bird poo out of your hair. After getting a good laugh at your expense first, of course! :)

We had a good time, despite the poo incident and the warm weather. The kiddos had fun in the different bouncies and running around. They were disappointed that they weren't doing hay rides though. We'll do that another day!

GOOD TIMES WITH GOOD FRIENDS!
WE LOVE OUR FRIENDS!!
Until next time...

Catching Up....

I have been lazy about getting on here and doing any updating, so before too much more time passes, here's an update on a few big things that have happened...

Kendal loses a tooth

She finally lost one of her top teeth. Last Sunday, during Sunday School she pulled out her tooth. That, of course prompted writing a note to the Tooth Fairy later that evening. She asked her for three gifts, one for her (Hannah Montana makeup) and each of her sisters (a toy puppy for each of them). It was very sweet that she included her sisters in the request, but nevertheless, the Tooth Fairy wrote back that she couldn't give gifts because she didn't have any way to carry them so she could only give money. She was just as excited about the note from the Tooth Fairy as she was about the money.

Kendal gets her ears pierced

She is patiently and excitedly waiting for the girl to pierce her ears

getting her ears prepped to have the earrings put in

she surprised both her Daddy and I and sat there very still while the girl punched the earring in

no surprise to either of us was that she did cry, just not as bad as we thought she would

she even sat still through the second earring...but still crying :)

the crying continued for a little while, she did not like having an audience inside the store

much happier now

she picked out some pretty, pink flower earrings

Jeff and I have a date

Not that us having a date is very exciting, but we usually have the girls with us since his work schedule is so crazy and he doesn't get to spend that much time with them. This night however, was my sister-in-law's brother's wedding so we got to get dressed up, had a babysitter for the girls and got to spend a few hours together with other adults. The girls had a great time too, they keep asking me, "When is Rebecca going to babysit us again?" Maybe that's their way of saying that we need to get out more on our own without them.

Best of all, we got to spend some time with my brother, Kevin and sis-in-law, Leah who we don't get to see often enough.

Until next time...
